UPCOMING IN MAGIC...
The Hapner's "Bubbles, Bangles & Beads" act, circa 1970.
For eight years, they played school assemblies, working for the Bureau of Lecturers and Concert Artists, Southern School Assemblies, and National Assemblies. Then in the 1960s, they became theme-park-magic pioneers, as they entertained thousands upon thousands of families every year at Santa's Workshop in North Pole, Colorado. After working the It's Magic! show in Hollywood in 1972, with their high-energy "Bubbles, Bangles, and Beads" act, Max Hapner & Salli were in-demand at magic conventions for the next ten years. They were a sensation only in America, but also in England, where they played a Magic Circle gala. But where have Max & Salli been for the last three decades? Touring the country with one of the biggest illusion shows imaginable.

March is the month of the Ides, mad hatters, and the MAGIC 2005 Spring Convention Guide — our annual supplement that lists all those conclaves and cavalcades, jubilees and jamborees, bashes and battles, festivals and frolics, gatherings, get-togethers, and events more often known as magic conventions. So if you are planning a convention and don't want to be left out, send your listing information for a free listing. But do it today! Email dates and registration details by no later than January 28: advertising@magicmagazine.com, or fax to (702) 798-0220.
