The "Bad Boys of Magic" must be pretty good nowadays, as Rory Johnston writes up their appearance at the Rio in Las Vegas as "The Best Show I Ever Saw." John Moehring takes a look at Kalin, Jinger & Hobson's Carnival of Wonders, as the show adds the nightly vanish of a jumbo jet and moves to the largest stage in the world at the Reno Hilton. A colorful reproduction of the lavish 25-foot-wide lithograph of Frederick Bancroft makes for MAGIC's first foldout. There's a feature on "Robert-Houdin's Light & Heavy Chest" by John Booth; more tricks with cigarette cards from Burton Sperber; and a tribute to Holland's Richard Ross from Kees Schoonenberg. Chad Long is the featured close-up magic contributor to "Inside Out," and "Turn it Around" has a routine for family-show entertainers working outdoors.
